Play Date!

Our fun friends from Utah came to thaw out here for the weekend.

Just don't touch the puppy!
And don't take my duck!
We have all been singing "Washing my hair for Holly"
for weeks in anticipation of Kacy, Savannah, and Holly coming to visit!

Berkeley tries to teach Savannah how to fly!

Glen - The "Holy Man"

Kick starting a dirt bike -- riding boots vs. flip-flops...
BLOOD

Here are the gory details:

Glen was at the neighbors house down the street, not far from home. He usually only rides his dirt bike with riding boots and gear -but- he had his shorts and flip flops on since he was only going down the street. When leaving the neighbor's house, he started up his dirt bike, his foot slipped off the peg and embedded the entire three inches of the kick start peg into his calf. He pulled his leg off the peg and it started squirting blood. Glen rode home dizzy and white leaving a trail of blood behind him. I called our neighbor (a good boy scout) to help me stop the bleeding and get a very weak and woozy Glen into the back of the Yukon for medical attention. Glen probably bled a good pint or more of blood right there on the lawn before we could get the bleeding under control. As soon as the doctor at the urgent care removed his temporary bandage, a steady stream of blood started to squirt out like a fountain! (Glen turned ghost white and had to lay down on the floor) They were able to get the bleeding under control with an injection that constricted the artery, and then patched him back together with six stitches across the hole. We are told that the muscles and other damaged tissues will heal themselves underneath the skin. He's now on antibiotics to help avoid the likely infections that come from puncture wounds.

Sick Puppy

Poor little Sammy has been sooooooo sick. He's had a fever of at least 104 degrees the last three days and had just been sleeping and whimpering. The only thing that can comfort him is his puppy. We took him to Urgent care last night because his fever wouldn't break. He has two ear infections and eye infections, but at least his lungs are clear. He is now on anti-biotics and hopefully on the road to recovery. His fever was gone this morning, but I think that is a result of the Oreo shake I fed him in the waiting room! It perked him up, and seemed to give him a little strength.

VISITORS!!!

Jacob was so happy to see Uncle Johnny

he didn't leave his side the first night they were here.

Look Mom, NO COAT!!!

You have to enlarge this picture of the girls.
I laughed so hard at sweet Aliie Rose.
(Check the finger on the right hand.)

We had a visit from Uncle Johnny , Aunt Sarah, Branson, Allie, Daniell, and Savannah last week! It was so much fun to be all together! We had long days and late nights making sure we got the most of every minute! We went to the zoo, bike riding, bowling, movies,
and of course all night Wii play and Oreos.

First Catch
