Watching Over
Yesterday as the line was traveling from Berkeley's wrist to his elbow-you guessed it- he PANICKED! The more he thought "what if" the worse he got and it was difficult to get his mind off his fears. Then...

A loving Father in heaven provided this tender mercy. There is nothing like a Great Horned Owl in the backyard to make Berkeley forget about, well, everything else! Again, thanks to my sweet friend for taking the time to show him how he is being watched over.

Back at home...
Berkeley called yesterday morning saying he thinks he broke his finger. I thought it looked a little strange and so asked him to walk down and show Marie. She diagnosed it as infected, cleaned him up and told him what to watch for I.e. Throbbing, pain in the arm, red line...

Ten minutes later he was back with a red line. So she spends all day taking my son to the Pediatrician. They gave him an oral antibiotic and said don't let that line grow.

That line grew.
After consulting with Grandpa (technology is such a blessing...and so is Grandpa) Berkeley and Marie spent the night at the hospital getting IV antibiotics. (According to Berkeley it was administered at the rate of one drop every ten minutes)

We have so much to be thankful for...again. Modern medicine, priesthood blessings and those worthy to administer, owls, Grandpa, fuzzy hugs, and best friends who will sit up with your child in the ER until 3:30 am! I can't ever say thanks enough!

Les Miserables in Denver!
Our family has fallen back in love with Les Miserables. After watching the 25 Year Anniversary concert, we bought tickets and looked forward for months to the show. You will notice here we are missing Glen.
That is due to him becoming quite ill the day of the show. We all felt so bad about him missing, so I came up with a brilliant plan. Since he has been traveling to Denver on business, he could catch the show there! He thought that was a great plan, and lucky me he took me along! SO... I read the book, the ENTIRE UNABRIDGED Victor Hugo classic! Then we flew to Denver and stayed just a few blocks from the theater, which totally added to the experience. I was so grateful every second just to be there!
BEST DATE EVER!
We didn't take this video...but she was very amazing (and sad).
Thank Heaven...and Mark and Kendall
Berkeley said he was out searching around by the RV gate when he" had the worst stomach cramp ever" and took it as a warning to be careful. As he stood up he noticed this baby curled up in the corner by the wall. He is so small he didn't even have a real warning rattle yet. Thank heavens for Brother Johnson there working on the house and coming to the rescue. Also a shout out goes to Kendall Green for hauling the little fella away.
Berkeley asked if I was freaked out. More than anything I felt comforted that someone is watching out for us. It is such a blessing that little snake was spotted and removed rather than left undiscovered lurking around in our bushes. Also, we are so blessed to have great friends nearby, I could write an entire seminary class type analogy on that one!

Breakfast At Tiffany's.....
Glen and I just enjoyed a nice breakfast together down town, I love being here with him! He just left for work and I am staying to enjoy the city for a few more hours. As he left he told me, "Have fun, buy yourself something." I smiled and pointed out to him that was a very brave thing for him to say considering where we are standing.

I think I saw him start sweating a little as he walked away!

Remember that story
Ode To Toad
Berkeley put you in the bathtub,
Where you did not stay,
Out you hopped onto the floor,
You thought you'd get away.
Such a tiny hopper,
Awfully hard to see,
I didn't mean to squish you,
With my big, bare feet.
