When it rains...it POURS!

BrookLynn gets her ears pierced!

Yesterday was BrookLynn's 11th Birthday!! What she wanted most was to get her ears pierced. She almost backed out after watching the girl before her burst into tears, but she knew she would be dissappointed so she went ahead bravely!

Smiling Sam

Here are the pictures we had taken yesterday. What a sweet, happy baby!

Glen & Jen - Family Reunion - Atlanta, GA

24th of July Mathews Cousin's Reunion

Instead of sitting out in the sun, this year
Grandpa and Meema drove the big kids in jeep to throw candy in the parade.

Survivorman Jeffrey crunches down a grasshopper (as seen on TV),
while Survivorman Jacob uses survival skills learned from his mom.

It wouldn't be a farm reunion without at least one snake.

EWE! SOPHIE!
The kids ask me "Why did you send THAT ONE?"
Because it is a moment we will all remember!

"B" Boy

Check out the progress of Berkeley's misfortune! He was stung twice on his lower right eyelid by a hornet. By the next day he couldn't open the eye. He burst into tears and refused to leave the house the first time he caught a glance of himself in the mirror. There are benifits to being disfigured, however, Berk came home from the Fairview parade with twice as much candy and loot than any other kids! A few days later he was just fine, but the skin around his eye is cracked and wrinkled from being so swollen .

Berkeley's Good News

Wednesday we spent the day at Primary Childrens Hospital for a follow-up on Berkeley's cleft lip and palate. All the work that was done before is holding up great, and x-rays showed enough bone to avoid doing a bone graft! We are all sure smiling about that.

Grandad's Farm

We had one of the best days ever revisiting "All the places to love." The kids were outside playing in the rain at 6:30 am even despite their late night arrival.
We love the well, the fishing holes, the swing, the snakes, the trees, the bird houses, the kitten, the horses, the eggs...............
Grandad and Grandma Theresa made sure that we all were good and spoiled by the end of the day (even Mom).

Detour

We headed out for the big reunion vacation this Monday. However, we had a little misunderstanding between the GPS and the trip plan and ended up taking the LOOOOOOOONG way there. Better stop and take pictures of the Hoover Dam since we drove an extra 3 hours to see it!

Dawson's Baptism

Dawson is excited to have his own set of missionary scriptures and pocket hymn book.

Grandpa was able to fly out for the day, that made it pretty special!

This is Dawsons' buddy Trey. He was baptized just a few weeks ago. Love the matching suits!

Dawson was so excited about his white baptism suit! He really looked like the angel that he is.
