"Break-Lynn"

So we took Brookie to a real doctor today. He re-did the X-Rays and found TWO breaks. One all the way across the Ulna and one at the top of the Radius. The break had shifted, the doctor said that if she were an adult she would need surgery, but since she still has a lot of growing left to do (good news!) it will straighten itself out. We get to go back next week to be sure it's not wandering in the cast, which she'll be in for the next 4-6 weeks!

Thank You Grandpa!

Ice Skating - BrookLynn's Broken Arm

BrookLynn and Jen went ice skating with her Primary class on Saturday. On the last skate around the rink BrookLynn took a dive and broke her arm. She has been really tough but still had a painful night on Saturday. BrookLynn's leaders, friends and our home teachers have all been so kind to wish BrookLynn well.

Glen's best friend Bruce was in the area so he came by and helped her smile a bit. Jen thinks he just couldn't resist the chance to hang out in an Urgent Care waiting room. Bruce has a lot of empathy and experience with hospital visits. He recently had surgery on his collarbone after he shattered the bone while riding dirt bikes with Glen in the desert. Wii GOT ONE!

Dawson has waited so patiently (since last Christmas) for his own Wii. Tonight Wii decided to spring it on him! Wii did some sneaky shopping, and since Friday night is "game night", Wii told him that as soon as he put the groceries away, Wii could play. Wii left the console in one of the grocery bags and set him to work. Boy was he happily suprised! He has been thanking us repeatedly all evening.

The Cold War Has Ended

Since neither Darcey OR Jacob get to be the baby of the family anymore, they have decided to stop competing and get along. Look at them sharing a snack! These kids used to fight over everything from legos to breakfast cereal. It's so nice when the siblings can work things out and get along.

History Lesson

On Wednesday Grandpa called in to teach BrookLynn, Davis, Jeffrey, Brandon, (and I guess Darcey) , about Teddy Roosevelt. They enjoyed the lesson so much. History really comes alive when Grandpa tells it! Mom was drawn into the story telling as well. Suddenly I realized I had left Sammy alone in the front room! I'm still not used to his mobility. Don't worry, he was able to keep himself entertained until I came back!

2007 In Review - Then and Now

The Games We Play

Helping With the Groceries!

Life is good! I have a lot of eager helpers. Whenever I bring home a load of groceries, all the kids jump right in and help bring them in and put them away. It's like a treasure chest for the little boys. Now that Sammy can move, he moved right in on the action. This kid has become SO BUSY the last two or three days, it takes all 14 of our eyes to keep track of him !

New Year's Eve Desert Ride

New Year's Eve we spent the day in the desert riding with Bruce, Brad and families. It was a great time riding, shooting and enjoying a perfect Arizona December.
