President's Day Vacation!

YEA! Grandpa, Meema, Ella, Caleb, and Olivia came for the President's Day weekend!
We had so much fun! Known since 1993 as "O.G." (Old Guy) and "L.G." (Little Guy) so as not to confuse themselves both being named Jeff. At times you can still see L.G. just following O.G. around the neighborhood.
Livie just HAD to swim!

We hardly even saw Berkeley and Caleb they were SO happy to be together and were making the most of every minute. Jeffrey vs. Olivia, Jacob, Dad, and Glen. Guess who won?
Jeffrey of course!

We spent Valentine's Day at the Arizona Science Center and Rainforest Cafe.

We really had a laugh at Sammy pushing his Aunt Livie in the stroller.

It's really great when your family are your best friends.

That'll Never Happen

The set up:
Dawson, Jacob and BrookLynn are all grounded from TV until next week. We have just finished with haircuts, and a trip to Barnes and Noble. Berkeley has a new field guide to Arizona wildlife (Wolves are only in northern Arizona right?), Jacob a book about a little snowman (what else?), and Dawson is delighted with his Jr. Novel which is providing him with the exact script from the Clone Wars.

Dawson:
" I just can't WAIT to show Dad my new book! I just LOVE this book! Can I read it as soon as we get home?"

Mom:
"Sure. Hey maybe you'll love it so much you'll just tell Dad you want to be grounded forever so you have lots more time to read."

Dawson:
"Ya, but before I say that.....WAIT! I'll never say that!"

"Let's stay forever and ever!"

Well, "Fall" is over and we are back to Spring! It was 84 degrees this afternoon. What are you going to do with a day like this?
Go FISHING of course!

"Um, Jeffrey, you can't catch that fish, he's dead."

Berkeley turned from park kid to park ranger when he met up with this duck buddy. I'm not sure how he got a hold of it, but the bird didn't seem to mind much. Maybe he knew he was in good hands. Berkeley was quite the celebrity and let all the kids on the playground get up close and pet - gently!

What a glorious day!

Anticipation

Yup, that's a Pinewood Derby car kit. Berkeley will be just a week or so from turning 8 when the race is on, so he gets to participate!

He already has been all over the Internet, printed a few promising designs, and discussed at length the pros and cons of each. He has also been RELENTLESS on soliciting help - starting at 6:00 am this morning.

Do you think he's excited?

OK ONE MORE!

Macaroni and "CHEESE!"

Sam is such a silly. He's always pulling faces and striking a pose. Even dinner can be a grand performance.

Just Too Cute!

Just oo Cute!

Snoozing Sam

Friday we were rushing to finish up the jobs and needed to keep Sammy in a safe place for a few minutes. BrookLynn buckled him in with a drink and a snack. I guess he got tired of waiting for us to finish his room.
