Not Tired

This morning Jacob said he had a "hot headache". I tried all morning to get him to just rest, so of course he was all the busier (and whinier) trying to keep himself awake. Finally he grabbed a gatorade, insisted he wanted to go to the park, and sat down to wait. Hopefully he'll soon be feeling better for real and we'll have a picnic in the park for dinner instead!

Music Man

The Twins

If you have been reading along, you know that right in the middle of all our mud jumping fun, my washer broke - AGAIN! Glen convinced me to finally gave up on the thing, and we went shopping for the washer and dryer of my dreams! As you friends all know, I get freakishly excited about appliances and cleaning supplies. I am a lover of all things domestic, and these babies are like Disneyland in my laundry room! My head is just spinning with ideas for decorating the laundry room....or could it be the windows on front of the appliances? There is a light inside the dryer to aide me in my obsession (grin)!
BrookLynn came hopping downstairs this morning all ecstatic that it is finally her laundry day! "ooooooooooooooooooooooh!" How long do you think it will take us to stop watching them go around, and around, and around, and around.......................

"Uh-Oh!"

Berkeley comes running out of the bedroom in a panic, Dawson is laughing himself breathless, and Sam is yelling "Uh-Oh!". You said it baby!
Ok, so I wouldn't have gotten in, but Brook and Berk had a nice swim this afternoon. Not warm, but not so bad BrookLynn says. These weren't quickly posed either, they were in fro about half an hour. Sammy even took a quick dip.

I love Arizona!

When We're Helping We're Happy

Sam discovered a new outlet to his boundless energy!
I am encouraging this new past time.

Mud Puppies

Our trampoline has finally died. All the springs kept rusting out and flying off as the kids were bouncing, so Jeffrey pulled it off Wednesday night. Since then it has been hours of endless muddy fun. We've had some rain the past few days that brought out the toads, and life is good.

BrookLynn says she was pouring mud on her shirt to see if the princesses would dissappear.
It didn't work. Oh and speaking of not working....neither is my washing machine! BLAGH!

Sleepy Dawson?

So, we all know Dawson HATES to sleep! This morning when Glen and I got up at 5:45 to go to the gym, he was already up! This afternoon I noticed he was acting pretty tired. I asked if he was getting sick - "no". I was a little worried at dinner when he was so pale and tired. I asked him what time he woke up and he said, "The clock said 11:40-something". "You mean 1:40?" He explains: "No, I saw it had a one and another one - eleven. I was getting a drink and my eyes were just wide. I couldn't go to sleep." He then gave us a list of games he played until 2:00 when he tried again to sleep, but his eyes were still "stuck wide". He then told us which episodes of "Wizards of Waverly Place" he'd watched, so I am pretty sure he has been awake now since 11:40-something last night! He had to admit, he is actually tired now, and is even thinking of sleeping in.

January Update

While Berkeley has nearly gone mad not being able to catch any reptiles this month, we have managed to keep pretty busy. Outside of school, here is a quick recap of our last few weeks. BrookLynn made a cake...and some funny faces. Jeffrey and Alexa took on the responsibility to name and care for 17 new fishy friends.
Welcome to the pond Bobbi-o, Ferdinand, Bon-qui-qui, Bon-qui-qui two, Bill Tres, Jeffrey Jr., Alexa Jr., and all the others!
Sammy had a fever of 103.3 and everyone enjoyed the afternoon and evening taking turns cuddling him. It was like having a baby again. The next morning he was back to being Sam.
Jacob got a new snowman friend, and although the Christmas decor had to come down, Mom decided it was ok to decorate his room in a snowman theme permanently. ( Just the right thing for Arizona - LOL).

The Cub Scouts came back - YOU GUYS ROCK!

The Beehives remembered to include me by bringing by their creation of "John on the John" made from recycled garbage.

Jeffrey taught Samuel some skills - (I think he's drawing a LIGER)
Jeffrey got a hunting licence and learned to shoot, clean, cook, and eat dove. (Thanks Bro. Marble for on the spot home teaching!)

New Year's Eve

Although we had agreed that we'd been doing lots of running around lately, and we were staying home.....I just couldn't stand the fact that we had all those Sea World bounce back passes going to waiste. WE LOVE SEA WORLD! They expired on 12/31! After 30 minutes disscussion and preparation, we hopped into the car on the evening of 12/30 and raced to San Diego! Talk about whirlwind! This is my kind of white Christmas! PLASTIC!
They also had bubbles blowing in the park to make it look like it was snowing!"Feed the Birds"
"DRY!" Dawson knew better than to sit in the splash seats this time!

What a good little Mormon boy!

"Where is Jeffrey?" Can't miss the NEW YEAR'S EVE DANCE! Ahhh, teenagers :)
