Horseback Riding

Berkeley and Berkeley

24th of July Parade

Here's a parade of some of our favorite celebrities! Of course the really smart ones don't ride the parade, they stand on the side and catch more candy than Halloween!
"Candy on my face? Where?"

Loose Something?

Slip and Slip and Slide

It wasn't nearly as exciting with Sarah sitting it out this year!

Something Fishy Going On

At the End of the Day

Every year the kids sleep out with Grandpa in the barn. The first night of the reunion I went out with Sammy to join the fun. Parents aren't usually included unless you have a tiny one who needs supervision (kind of like Disneyland, you can ride as long as you are accompanied by a small child). Here is my insider's reportPhase 1 : Sleeping Bags
Green? Red? Blue? Black?
Phase 2 : Girls Screaming about Spiders
Phase 3 : Bed Choosing
Big kids on top (how big is big?),
little kids on bottom,
peace making popular-with-the-toddlers kids on hide-aways.
Phase 4 : 4 rounds of potty trips

Phase 5 : Lots of Noise
Phase 6 : One More Potty Trip
Phase 7: Lights go out

Phase 8: Grandpa tells a story about Great Grandpa and teaches us "When we stop caring so much about ourselves, and care more about others, we stop being afraid."

Guess that explains why Grandpa dares to sleep in the barn year after year!

Playing with our Bingham Cousins

Berkeley ("the professional") outside teaching Nathan (the "beginner") how to catch wasps and bees! As you can see they had some good success.

S'More fun at Aunt Gina and Uncle Mike's House

Beauty and the Bomb

BrookLynn and Katelyn started and ended their spa career Wednesday afternoon.
After taking a few pictures, We left them alone mixing potions in the basement.
Half an hour later BrookLynn comes upstairs to inform us that their product had exploded and a lovely citrus scented goo was coating the basement walls, cupboards, plants, pool table, and ceiling...about 15 feet of ceiling! Boy were they glad we thought it was so funny! They put their second, unexploded container in the door well outside and about 5 min. later there was another bang! It sounded like fireworks, and it blew the lid one story up and out into the middle of the yard!

Sam and Will

I have never in my life seen two-year-olds turn soul mate like these boys! They played and played and only got into a little trouble (Katelyn's gumball machine). They were side by side sharing and compromising for three days! Will and Sam even worked together to change Sam's diaper (with a little help from Uncle Mike)!
Sammy got an owie and Will brought him in for a band-aide.
