You never saw a toddler with a happier face, or have heard a more delighted squeal than Sam's, "I it got a fog! I got it a FOG!" This is his first real catch
I had seen him earlier following it around the yard singing, "Sleep my treasure, close to mother, hush my baby doooooo..." (Our favorite lullaby). Then suddenly he came squealing into the house pink cheeked and glitter eyed, toad in hand. .
- yet gross.
Next of course he wanted to show Marie. I wish I could post the memory I have in video. He was so delighted, I actually got tearful. He kept running up to every stranger we passed (a total of 7 squeamish girls and ladies) to show off his frog. He even raised it up in hopes of stopping the passing cars!

Marie gave him this cage in hopes of saving the poor guys life. He was proud of that too.
After a few trips to the bathroom sink and rides on the shoulder, Mr. Toad had had enough and decided it was time to play possum. He was good and floppy for over 30 minutes. We set him outside on the grass, and the second Sam turned his back... he up and hopped away!
But this love story doesn't end just yet.....
