Goldfield Mine - Arizona - Labor Day
We took a quick trip with the kids to the Goldfield Mine at the base of the Superstition Mountains. It had all the essentials: rattlesnakes, old narrow gauge railroad, ice cream shop, crazy old tour guide for the mine and beautiful scenery. We had some wide-eyed kids when we were going down the creaky mine shaft elevator!

What a great day trip! I think the creaky elevator would have freaked me out too :-)
